Mommy and Me Floral Design Workshop

Celebrate the mom in your life with flowers! Join us Mother’s Day weekend with a fun, hands-on workshop for adults and children to work together to create a teacup flower arrangement to take home. Participants will take a mini tour and learn about spring flowers that grow in the Garden. All materials provided.

Please note: this class is designed for children ages 5-14 to accompany an adult for an introductory lesson in floral design. This cannot be booked for 2 adults. Additional child add-on tickets are available.

Garden in a Glass: Terrarium Making Workshop

Sunday, May 18, 1pm – 3pm

In this workshop with Lowell Iporac, participants will learn how to work with all sorts of cool plants – think lush mosses, velvety liverworts, and lively ferns. These aren’t your typical succulents or air plants, we’re creating a truly vibrant, living ecosystem that changes and grows over time.

Dusk Spring Bird Walk with NYC Birds Alliance

Sunday, May 25, 9:30am – 10:30am

$10 Non-Members / $4 QBG Members

This special event will deviate from the typical early risers and focus on the evening avians of the garden. Spot and identify creatures of flight and learn how Queens Botanical Garden provides important resources for birds—like water, shelter, and insects to eat.
