Our 39 acres and indoor facilities offer a one-of-a-kind location for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and photos. Brides and grooms have celebrated their special day at Queens Botanical Garden for years — come visit and see why. Whether the Garden is a backdrop for your portraits, you’re exchanging vows in our glorious Wedding Garden, or you’re having your reception on our Terrace or in our Auditorium, your special day will be unforgettable. The Garden is also ideal for bar or bat mitzvahs, birthday or graduation parties, showers, cocktail parties and other special celebrations.


What a year it’s been! Due to unprecedented demand for Weddings and Special Events at the Garden, we are FULLY BOOKED through 2021.

COVID-19 Update:
We look forward to meeting you! To meet with a Garden representative, you MUST schedule an appointment in advance with the Special Events & Rental office. There are NO walk-ins. ALL appointment attendees must complete a brief health questionnaire, provided by staff via email, prior to arrival. You must present your appointment confirmation to the attendant at the entrance.

Health & Safety Guidelines for Booked Events

In implementing the City’s Emergency Executive Order 225 and vaccine mandate, Key to NYC, which requires people 12 years of age and older to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination for indoor entertainment, recreation, dining, and fitness settings, Queens Botanical Garden currently requires all guests of indoor and outdoor events show proof of vaccination. All outdoor events are weather-dependent and subject to moving indoors, enacting this requirement. 

Ceremonies

An intimate setting framed by flowering plants, wood bridges and gazebo, and enclosed by a white picket fence, the Wedding Garden gracefully blends elements of Eastern and Western garden design while evoking the refined elegance of the Victorian era.

Twilight Ceremonies: $1800
Arranged Upon Availability (5 to 6pm or 6 to 7pm)

  • One Hour in The Exclusive Wedding Garden for Your Ceremony and Photography
  • One Hour on The Main Grounds for Photographs
  • 30-Minute Rehearsal the Week of The Wedding
  • Complimentary seating for up to 80 guests. Additional seating is available up to 70 chairs.

NOTE: Reservations are required. All bookings are subject to availability. A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking, with the balance due six months in advance of your wedding.

Receptions

QBG offers one-of-a-kind receptions for you and your guests. Reception spaces are available in our Auditorium and Cherry Circle, or on our Terrace, just steps from the Wedding Garden. Our preferred caterers have delicious menus that can be tailored to your special requests and needs.

Wedding Photography

With 18 acres of formal garden areas, we offer countless photo opportunities. Favorite locations include the Rose Garden, Wedding Garden, Floral Border, Annual Beds, Four Seasons Garden, Woodland Garden, Ornamental Grass Garden, and Fragrance Walk.

One hour on the main grounds

WEDDING GARDEN PHOTOGRAPHY ($300):
30 minutes in the Wedding Garden and one hour on the main grounds

Note: Reservations are required. Schedule a session well in advance of your event date. Bridal parties and other groups are restricted to 20 people. Payment is due in full upon booking. An additional $25 is charged for permits purchased on the day of the event.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds and no indoor facilities for photos in the event of rain. Please notify us in advance if you need to change the date and/or time of your appointment. Changes are subject to an additional fee and availability.
