Rambling Rose Gala Raises Funds to Help Sustain Queens Botanical Garden

On the evening of Monday, June 2, 2025, Queens Botanical Garden (QBG) hosted its annual fundraising event, the Rambling Rose Gala. The evening honored Amerasia Bank and The Oasis Foundation with the Rose Gala Award in recognition of their continued support and contributions to the Garden.  

Guests enjoyed special tours of the QBG Rose Garden led by Horticulture staff and enjoyed a live performance by the Youth Orchestra CYCNY. The Rose Gala raised over $187,000 to support QBG’s mission of bringing together people, plants, and cultures.

In attendance were Warren Huang, Amerasia Bank; Wells Huang, The Oasis Foundation; Raymond D. Jasen, QBG Board Chair, Partner-in-Charge of Tax of KPMG’s New York Financial Services;  Sandra Ung, New York City Council Member; Linda Lee, New York City Council Member; Evie Hantzopoulos, QBG Executive Director; Rebecca Wolf, QBG Deputy Director; Lisa Giordano, QBG Director of Development; supporters and sponsors. 

“At a time when there is so much uncertainty in our world, and when so much of what we may take for granted is threatened, all of us here at QBG are certain that we are, and will always be, the place where people, plants, and cultures meet,” said Evie Hantzopoulos, QBG Executive Director. “The funds raised tonight will ensure that our garden continues to be an oasis of nature and healing for our community.”
