Workshops & Tours

Our educational workshops and tours guide participants of all ages through inspiring gardens and real-world applications of environmental stewardship.

With safety in mind, onsite touring is available with limited capacity and upon request. We look forward to inviting more groups to the garden for in-person workshops in the Spring of 2021. See below for a list of available live, virtual and in-person workshops and tours.

Virtual Workshops

$75 School Group Fee
Workshops run approximately 45 minutes.
Maximum of 20-25 students to a group.
Our workshops are adaptable for all ages. Please contact us for pricing for non-school and adult groups.


Animal Architecture
Many animals we encounter at the Garden and in our neighborhood are skilled builders. In this workshop, we explore a few examples of animal-made structures, make models of some of them and create a home for native bees using household supplies.

Bugging Out
In this workshop we explore the characteristics and functions of insect bodies through model making.

Buzzworthy
Discover the relationship between pollinators and flowers and the important role pollinators have in our environment.

Desert Plant Adaptations
In this workshop we’ll explore the conditions plants need to survive, how those conditions are met in deserts, and how plants adapted to survive there.

Explore the math and patterns behind plant growth and explore how plants make their shapes.

Rainforest Plants
In this workshop we’ll explore the conditions plants need to survive, how those conditions are met in tropical rainforests, and how plants adapted to survive there.

Explore trees, their needs, and the role they play in our lives.

Water Cycle
Where do we get our water and where does it go? An exploration of water sources in our homes and how they fit into the larger world of the water cycle.
