Group Programs for Adults
Visit the Garden with your group or classroom to explore the wonders of nature up close! We invite you to visit the honeybee hives at the Bee Garden, go birdwatching in the Arboretum, or spend time enjoying the many scents of the Herb Garden – and so much more.

Tours
Guided Garden Tour
Duration: 1 hour
Capacity: Up to 25 participants
Cost: $225
Visit the Garden with a guide. Our permanent and seasonal collections showcase a variety of environmental, botanical, and cultural themes. Tours are all-outdoors in all seasons.
Add-Ons (not available in Summer)
Duration: 1.5 hours total
Capacity: Up to 25 participants
Culminate your visit with one of the following activities:
- Dish Garden ($400) click to book
- Nature Art with Plant Pigments ($325) click to book
Reservations for add-ons require advance notice.
Self-Guided Tour*
Duration: As long as needed – at least one hour is recommended.
Capacity: Up to 30 participants, plus four chaperones. If the number of participants exceeds this limit, please schedule additional tours.
Cost: $100
Explore Queens Botanical Garden at your own pace and investigate the specific exhibit areas that complement your needs and interests.
Each group receives one QBG tote containing: 15 adventure field guides and 15 pencils for students to work in pairs. Only provided during paid season, April-Dec. If you would like additional adventure guides for all participants, you may purchase for an extra $25 per group.
Upgrade with an optional seed planting kit add-on! One kit includes enough supplies for 30 participants to plant flower or bean seeds. The fee is $25 per group. Kits can be picked up at visitor building and activity must be completed offsite, after your visit.

Health & Safety
- Face masks are not required for program participants and staff while indoors. Individuals may choose to still wear masks.
- We ask that members of your group who are not feeling well or have covid-like symptoms refrain from participating.
Lunch
- A covered area for lunch cannot be guaranteed, nor do we have an indoor cafeteria. We have benches dispersed throughout the garden available on a first-come first-served basis.
- Weather permitting, your group may bring their lunch and eat in our crabapple arboretum (#23 on map), which is an open space, ideal for a picnic on the ground. Here is the link to the map of the garden for reference.
- We have sandwiches and salads for sale in our gift shop/store while supplies last.
