Discovery Guide | Pumpkin Patch Guide
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Discovery Guides use our discovery cart and kits to engage visitors. Perfect for people with knowledge of plants and plant ecosystems, a willingness to grow and learn, and a friendly demeanor. Guides should have strong communication skills, interest in environmental sustainability, love to engage with nature, and excited to share their enthusiasm for the Garden with visitors. Some experience leading tours or public speaking is preferred.
Available Shifts: September through November on Wednesdays 3-6pm, Saturdays and Sundays 9am-12pm, 1-3pm or 3-6pm. Orientation in September.
Pumpkin Patch Guides will work in small pods of 3 people to support our very popular Pumpkin Patch Program at the Garden. They will help to prepare and set-up the Patch, and provide event day support to greet visitors, help them navigate the Patch and hand out materials. Guides should have strong communication skills, love to engage with nature, a friendly team attitude, and be excited to share their enthusiasm for the Garden with visitors.
Available Shifts: Prep begins in September on Wednesdays or Fridays late afternoons. Patch event dates on weekends in October. Specific dates TBD. (Must be able to commit to entire season to apply)
