Welcome to Transplants! The Choreography One course introduces the fundamental principles that are essential to the art of making dances. Improvisation and various choreographic tools are explored to understand the craft of choreography, discover movement material, and to cultivate an individual movement vocabulary and style. The students have created a work for Queens Botanical Garden that integrates both improvisation and set movement phrases, that are inspired by the elements of earth, air, fire, water, and metal.

***While the event is free, Garden admission is to be paid at Garden entry. Admission April through October: Adults – $6, Seniors (age 62+) – $4, Students with ID – $4, Children (ages 4 to 12) – $2, Children (3 and under) – FREE, Members – FREE.

Spend the day at the Garden!
QBG will host its first-ever Daffodil Dash 4K Fun Run (registration required). Also, Storytime & Craft takes place 11am to 12:30pm and a Seasonal Garden Tour from 1 to 2pm. Go to the Visitor & Administration Building Gallery to see “In Full Bloom,” featuring three artists presenting work inspired by the shape and form of flowers and bodies in nature. Be sure to check out QBG’s “What to See, What to Do” guide for where to find notable plants out in the Garden.
