Families fill their Spring Break and Earth Day with fun outdoor activities!
Kids and families visit nature-themed activity stations to create botanical crafts and listen to stories about spring flowers, insects, and animals! Programs will take place in the Arboretum.
Family-friendly; For all ages. Drop-in; Registration recommended

Check out other family-friendly events taking place at the Garden this spring! Flower Patch is on Saturdays and Sundays, 4/30, 5/1, 5/7 and 5/8 (Mother’s Day)! Unique floral and garden creature installations transform the QBG Farm into a fantastic flower spectacle, an immersive environment and stunning backdrop for photos. Meet costumed nature creatures, pick your own pot of flowers, do floral-themed crafts, and make your mark on Chalk Walk!

Birds & Nests: Tuesday, April 19
Look up–can you spot that bird? Listen to and read stories about birds and nests, explore nests at our observation station, go on a nest quest, and build your own bird feeder to take home.
Pollinators: Wednesday, April 20:
Get the buzz on bees! Listen and read stories about bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Learn all about these helpful creatures at our observation station and make your own pollinator wand to take home.
Spring Flowers: Thursday, April 21
The Garden is blooming with spring flowers! Listen to and read stories about growing flowers in the Garden, go on a spring bulb scavenger hunt, and make an origami flower to take home.
Earth Day: Friday, April 22
Celebrate Earth Day at the Garden by listening to stories about how we can care for the planet. Plus, create a green roof model to take home and go on a scavenger hunt to explore the Garden.
