Plant Heroes Latino Field Day
Sunday, July 21, 2024, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
We are happy to host Plant Heroes Latino Field Days on the Farm in partnership with the American Public Gardens Association and the US Forest Service. The workshops are free for participants! Garden admission is waived for participants. Upon entering the Garden, please tell the booth attendant that you are here for this program on the Farm.
These activities are bilingual for Spanish speaking families to come and learn on the farm. Each month, from July – September, we will have two sessions on a given Sunday and Wednesday where participants will participate in a nature-based theme. See below the theme for this month!
July 21: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
July 24: 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
July 24: 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.
- The focus will be on learning basic Plant ID and how plants adapt to their environment.
- During this lesson we will also learn about a couple plant families so that people get familiar with how to ID plants that we commonly use in our day to day.
We are excited to welcome you to the farm on these days where we will also have our donation-based farm stand available! See you there!
