It’s a compost time of year! NYC Compost Project Hosted by Queens Botanical Garden will be giving compost to NYC residents. Individuals who register for the event are eligible to take up to four (4) 40-pound bags of free, high-quality New York City Compost made from your food scraps and yard waste. To receive compost, participants must be registered in advance and attend a 10-minute info session the day of the event on how to use compost.
Registration required. Free (does not include admission into the Garden).

On the day of the event:
– You must have confirmation of your registration with you, printed or digital Eventbrite ticket.
– Upon arrival you will be directed to the info session (please arrive on time, or you may have to wait until the next scheduled session before picking up your compost).
– NYC Compost Project staff will be available to assist in loading compost into your vehicle.
– There are limited tickets available for two pick-up times: 4 to 5pm and 5 to 6pm.
Please note: This event is for NYC residents only, not businesses. Limit one ticket per person. Event is rain or shine.
