Lucky Plant Sale
Saturday, January 22 through Sunday, February 13
Bring home a lucky plant! Choose from jade plants to peace lilies and other auspicious beauties, available for purchase at the QBG Store. While supplies last.
Note: The plant sale takes place indoors. Showing proof of vaccination and photo ID is required to enter indoor facilities, except for individuals who are ineligible for vaccination. We will be accepting the CDC Vaccination Card, the Excelsior Pass, and the NYC COVID Safe App. The latter two are downloadable via Google Play and the App Store.

Year of the Tiger Community Art Project 
Sunday, January 23, Saturday, January 29, Sunday, January 30, 1 to 3pm
Saturday, February 5, 12 to 3pm (at the Lunar New Year Celebration)
FREE; Outdoors, Drop-in
Be a part of a community art project by creating a tiger stripe pattern panel or decorate your own tiger face to hang at the Visitor & Administration Building for the month of February! This project will take place outdoors on the covered terrace. Materials may also be picked up at these times to work on at home and returned for display by February 5 at our Lunar New Year celebration event.

Join QBG staff on a tour of our composting site!

Winter Scavenger Hunt
Go on a scavenger hunt to explore the Garden’s colors and trees in winter. Collect a QBG goodie bag when you’ve finished, while supplies last.
Zodiac Animal Library and Storytime
Listen to stories or read stories on your own about the Chinese Zodiac and the different zodiac animals. Pick out a sticker for which zodiac animal you are!
