Queens Botanical Garden - Where people, plants, and cultures meet
Accessibility

The majority of all pathways at Queens Botanical Garden are wheelchair accessible and the Garden’s flat topography make it an excellent destination for visitors with ambulatory disabilities.

The Visitor & Administration Building is wheelchair accessible. Administrative offices, located on the second floor of the building, are accessible via public elevators located behind the reception desk on the main floor.

Parking
Designated parking is available in the Parking Garden.

Wheelchairs
Queens Botanical Garden provides wheelchairs as a courtesy to visitors. They are provided on a first-come, first-served basis at the Main Street Entrance, Parking Garden Entrance and Visitor & Administration Building. A valid driver's license or government-issued picture identification card (ID) is needed in order to loan you a wheelchair. ID will be held during your visit and returned upon return of the wheelchair.

Braille Signage
Braille signage is in use throughout the Visitor & Administration Building and formal garden areas.

Service Animals
Queens Botanical Garden does not allow pets on the grounds. Service animals are permitted in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

School Children with Disabilities
QBG provides classes for special-needs children, many of whom are in wheelchairs. The Garden lists these services through its publications, website, and regular communication with teachers and social service agencies.
