Arbor Fest Schedule

Celebrate Spring at Arbor Festival!

Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 11am to 6pm

Join us for a family-friendly event to celebrate the season!  We’ll have food and craft vendors, a beer tent, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, and composting workshops for a fun filled afternoon! Extra fee applies for some activities.

  • 11am to 12pm: Bird and Nature Walk
  • 11am to 4pm: Old-Fashioned Games
  • 11am to 4pm: Compost Demonstration: learn how to harvest, sift, and apply indoor and outdoor compost with the NYC Compost Project in Queens
  • 12 noon to 4pm: Botanical Crafts for children
  • 12 noon to 12:30pm: Tai Chi Demonstration
  • 12 noon to 3pm: HSBC Children's Garden Family Activity Area
  • 12 noon to 4pm: Pony Rides ($5 additional fee per child, per ride)
  • 12 noon to 4pm: Petting Zoo (animal feed available for $2 per bag)
  • 12 noon to 4pm: Silly Cheeks Face Painting ($4 additional fee per person)
  • 1:30 to 2:30pm: Live Music by the New York Exceptions on the Performance Stage
  • 2 to 3pm: Garden Tour with QBG’s Executive Director Susan Lacerte
  • 3 to 4pm: Live Music by the New York Exceptions on the Performance Stage

More fun throughout the afternoon:

  • Food vendors and beer tent
  • Craft vendors on the Oak Allée
