Fragile Beauty: Jamaica Bay Landscapes

Queens Botanical Garden is proud to welcome Queens-based photographer Rosalie Frost whose images highlight the stunning landscapes of Jamaica Bay.

Artist Statement:

"There is a luminous quality of light in and around Jamaica bay that creates a special sense of place.

With a wildlife refuge at its heart, the Bay's seemingly pristine natural habitats of water, beach and uplands are under threat from many sources that threaten its future viability -- but these do not yet diminish the inspiration to be found here, in this place where water and land warily meet."
