Queens Botanical Garden Rings In Season With Winter Solstice Celebration & Holiday Marketplace

Flushing NY, November 15, 2011 – On Sunday, December 18, 2011 Queens Botanical Garden will host its Winter Solstice Celebration & Holiday Marketplace. Families wrapping up their holiday shopping or looking for winter-themed events are invited to attend the free celebration.

While browsing for unique gifts in the QBG Store and among selected vendors, visitors will enjoy seasonal music and children’s activities including crafts, demos, and storytelling. A winter garden walk is scheduled for nature lovers who want to explore the early winter landscape.

The Winter Solstice Celebration & Holiday Marketplace will begin at 11am, with activities starting at noon. For more information, please call (718) 886-3800, ext. 330.
