Self-Guided Tours

Sustainability Tour
Recommended for grades 5–12.

Much of our future depends on our ability to change NYC into a healthier, more environmentally responsible city. Explore the steps we can take to make that vision a reality by visiting our award-winning Green Building that conserves and harvests its own energy; walk through sustainably tended landscapes and learn the roles they play in water management and ecosystem restoration; stop by our urban farm to see waste turned into valuable soil and delicious vegetables.

Guided Garden TourRecommended for all grades. To help you get the most out of your visit, QBG instructors are available to guide tours for classes PreK–12 through garden exhibits that provide unique learning opportunities. Botanical displays, which vary from year to year, provide a showcase of environmental, botanical, and cultural themes. Our permanent gardens include the Bee Garden with working hives, as well as the Woodland, Herb, and Perennial Gardens and our new Urban Farm.
Enhance your visit by adding a seed planting or a botanical craft ($25 per class).
